The filter is a UNI foam air filter with a 2 1/4
inner diameter. Get it at any motorcycle shop.
It is about 3 inches long and clamps easy right
on the carb with a hose clamp. My airbox is
totally gone. It was a pain in the ass. There
are obvious bolts that hold it in and one not so
obvious bolt down on the shifter side of the bike.
I ended hacksawing mine in half to get it out.
But you probably don't have to. You'll also need
to buy a crankcase breather tube filter since the
stock set-up has the tube running to the airbox.
My filter is 2 inch outside diameter and attaches
to the tube with a hose clamp at one end. It's
cool looking. By the way my bike runs great. You
will HAVE to rejet if you do this. Mine runs
great on a 160 main jet, but it's really trial and
error. That was my third try. Rejetting is very
easy, it takes me less than 5 minutes.
